With 40 new accounts opening per week, each check was taking an average of 3 days. Accounts sat idle. Customers grew frustrated. The operations lead was spending half their week doing work that followed a completely deterministic set of rules the same logic applied to every single case.

The Challenge

The compliance process touched three external data providers, an internal Airtable risk database, a Notion documentation system, and a Gmail approval workflow none of which were connected. Every handoff between steps was manual.

Compliance work carries zero tolerance for error. Any agent built here needed to match the existing logic with 100% accuracy, produce audit-ready documentation on every check, and maintain a complete decision log that could be reviewed by regulators at any point. Speed was important. Accuracy was non-negotiable.

What We Built

The moment a new account application is submitted, the agent pulls data from all three external sources simultaneously, cross-references it against the internal risk framework, and produces a structured compliance summary flagging approvals automatically and routing edge cases to the operations lead with a recommended decision and full supporting evidence attached.

The entire process that previously took 3 days now completes in under 4 minutes. The operations lead reviews flagged cases only which represent less than 15% of total volume.

The agent was built against the startup's full compliance rulebook, validated against 6 months of historical decisions, and reviewed by their legal counsel before deployment.
